EXPORT OF PRODUCE.
The leaflet just issued by the Agricultural department shows .that djiring last month butter, was shipped to the value of £15,112 (3520cwt) 'from ifive of our 14 ports, New Plymouth leading with 3221cwt, valued at £13,753 ; Wellington, a long way behind, with 216cwt (£928); whilst Dunedin shipped £4 worth (lewt). Of cheese -1362ewt was exported, valued at'£3os7, and of this 775cwt was shipped from Taranaki's port, 321cwt from Wellington, and 13cwt from Christchurch.
■ The quantity of frozen beef exported was 8645cwt, valued at £8854. Frozen mutton to the quantity of 104-.354- carcases was shipped from eight of our ports, Wellington beinc first with 38,622 carcases, valued at £19,785. Dunedin exported 14,720 carcases, valued at £7435 : Invereargill, 10,878' 'carcases, valued at £5597; and Christchurch, 9544 carcases, valued at £4325. Of frozen lambs, only 1252 carcases were shipped last month, as compared with 193,835 in May, 119,"470 in June, a proportionate number, in July and AusrUst, and 14,'860 in September. During- the 12 mouths ended 31st March last no less than 1,258,653 carcase's of lambs, to the value of £588,437 were exported from New Zealand, which is an increase of 477,119 Varcases over last year's returns,
