In Dean Swift's "Gulliver's Travels" there is a description of. a learned nation called the Liliputians, whose "minds are so Ibaken up with intense speculations *" that " tbosß who are able to afford it always keep a flapper in the family, whose business it is," &c. '-.- ':'/■/- .- The Otago Education Board, having lately promoted its teachers to this:highly honourable and respectable position, and being eager to show our undoubted fitness for it, I beg leave * to make the following correction of a statement which appeared in your report of the 19th on the Education Board's proceedings":—Granada, i-' not Malaga, was the last capital of-the Moors in Spain—l am, &c., July2o. .
