Tho Invetcargill Cycling Club heia & series of races, including a 25-mile team race between Otago and Southland representatives, on their new track in the Union football grounds this afternoou. The weather was perfect and the attendance good. The following are tho ! results:— One-mile Maiden Roadster Handicap.—W. A. Masters, scr, 1; J. E. Jones, 25yds, 2; H. Young, 50yds, 3. Won by only a few inches. Time, 2min 43isec. One-Mile Open Handicap— J. Wren, scr, 1; A. M'Donald, 05yds, 2; W. A. Masters, 60yds, 3. Won easily. Time, 2min 43»cc. 440 yds Flat Handicap.-W. Mail, 25yds, 1; C. J. Martin, 12yds, 2; A. J. M'Kenzie, scr, 3. Time, 5(5 3-5 sec. Twenty-five Mile Team Race. —T. Maw (0.C.G.) 1, E. E. Godward (1.C.C.) 2, G. Cutbbertson (1.C.C.) 3, W. Gibson (0.C.0.) 4. J. E. Jones $8&\ S l E- H" Clark (O-C.0.) 6, R. M'Kenzie 5?V?.C.) 7. H. Cameron (O.C.C.i 8, J. Wren (I-C.C.) 9, W. Begg (0.0.C.) 10, A. B. Edmunds (1.C.C.) 11, A. E. Smith (1.C.C.) 12. Otago S6 points, Southland 42. The i-pecial prize for first placo at the end of each mile was won by A. E. bmith (Southland). The men kept well together. Smith, Clarke, Cnthbertson, and Edmunds making the pace most of the time. Eighteen miles and three-quarters were covered in an hour, and 20 miles in 64min 54sec. Coming into the straight in the second last round Smith was badly blocked, and in trying to get clear brought Begg i and Edmunds down, otherwise the reEult must have been different. Maw came away very well when once in the straight and won by two yardf, Godward, Cuthbertson, Gibson, and Jones all crossing the tapes together. Begg and Edmunds remounted their machines and finished, but Smith was too badly shaken. Time, Slmin 21sec. ■i iikee-mile Roadster Handicap. —W. A. Masters, 50yds, 1; H. L. Young, SJOyds, 2; P.
