THE BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

A meeting of the New Zealand Bowling Association was held in Watson's Hotel last night, and was attended by Messrs W. B. Smith (vice-president, in the chair), Thomas Moodie, W. Forrester, W. Weir, T. R. Dodds, F. Peake, W. Carlton, P. Dow, James Hislop, C. Haynes; D. Watters, J. Wedderspoon, E. Hogg, and G. Capstick (hon. sec.) A letter was read from Mr B. Hale (president) stating that., the Christchurch players approved of a suggestion that the time for playing the draws in rink tournament on the third day be altered so as to allow those engaged m the rink match to play in the singlehanded match.—lt was resolved— <• That the question be left to the Tournament Committee to make the necessary alterations if required, and that the players be protected so that no one need fail out of any match." Mr John Taylor wrote asking for a ruling re a dispute in the Phcenix Club concerning playing off a tie.—lt was resolved— " That al it was not an association game, the association could not interfere."
