Brisbane, July 20. (Heceived July 20, at 12.20 p.m.) Parliament was opened yesterday by the Governor, whose speech 'referred to the beneficial effects of the Imperial Conference. The introduction of several measures wa.s promised, including Itedistribulion of Scats, Local Government, Water Supply, and Copyl.ght Bills. A bill will also be introduced for the establishment of a Queensland university. Mr Morehead has been appointed leader of the Opposition. The debate on the Address-in-Keply stands adjourned.
