THE KING STREET TABERNACLE.
In the Tabernaole, Great King street, last Sunday evening, Mr Henry Exley, evangelist, preached his farewell sermon. The building was comfortably filled. The subject chosen was appropriate to the occasion, the text being—" Here we have no abiding city." From this text Mr Exley preached an excellent sermon. He leaves Dunedin to fulßl an engagement in Auckland. Yeßterday the officebearers of the church, on behalf of tbe congregation, presented Mr Exley with the following testimonial, handsomely illuminated \—
to Henry Exley, Evangelist, Dear Brother,—The office-bearers of this church de<> elro to convey to you their expression of regret that the financial circumstances of this church havo necessitated tbe termination of your engagement In Dutfodin; and they desire to place on record the fact that] during your stay in this city you have faithfully, and in a very acceptable manner, fulfilled your-dutles as an Evangelist, and that to your great experience, coupled with your kind and loving manner, may with justice be ascribed the great progress in spiritual life manifested at the present time in the church. And wo feel compelled to say tb.it peace and harmony provail amongst us to a greater degreo than has been the else for some years past, snd that the God whom you so faithfully serve may keep you and yours In His good keeping, and that you may be epared to do still greater things for the furtherance of God's kingdom on earth in the earnest and sincere desii c of
