Barley-.—The stock is low, but demand is quite limited. We quote at ss. Crushed is worth 5s 6d. Bran.—Small lots bring Is 10^-d to Is lid. Carrots. —£4 to £7 per ton. Chaff.—Supply equal to demand. We quote £6 to £7. Gram.—Little or none in market. Price£l6. Hay.—Demand for consumption is now almost wholly supplied by Provincial, which is of excellent quality, and commands £5 to £610s. Maize.—The market is now quite bare. Small lots are worth 6s 9d to 7s. ! Oats. —New crop, in large quantities, firm at '4s. Good Californian, 4s to 4s 3d. Scotch, nominal. The market is now bare of Colonial. Onions have considerably advanced, nor is it likely that they will again be lower. It is now near the end of the season, and there is a great I loss in picking. Holders are asking £24, but £22 may be a fair quotation. There is but a small quantity in the market. Potatoes are a good deal inquired for, and stocks are small. During the week a small lot of " Stewart Island" were sold for £6 10s, butTaieri or Tasmanian are worth £10. Turxips.—£4 to £G per ton. Wheat.—So few transactions are taking place, that it is difficult to quote a price.
