Tho North Otago;-A;; and P. Association's .Committee- met /this, afternoon, Mr J. B. Taylor (President), and Messrs Brownlce, "Blytli, Dovey, Mahoney, Hedley, Macauljiy, Little, Don, Orbcll, Livingstone, M'Cullocii, Gillies, Cowau, Macpherson, O'Brien, Bruce, Jackson, Jenkins, and Anderson were present, and Messrs Mitchell, Harvey, and AV. Gardiner, junr., sent apologies for absence.

. A resolution of sympathy with the relatives of.the late Mr William.Cowan, Enfield, was passed. Tho Chairman and Mr A. Gillies made eulogistic remarks. Mr C. Cowau replied on behalf of the relatives.

The Waitaki High School boys were granted the use of the Showgrounds for their annual sports. Letters stating their charge for playing at the Show were received from the 10th' Regiment Band and a string band. Mr Orbell tltought that the charge of the 10th Regiment Band was too much, and said that he would move that they engago a string band. This suggestion did not find favor with tho members, and eventually it was decided to engage the 10th Regiment Band. The Railway Department wrote stating that excursion tickets to the Show would be issued from Invercargill, Christchiirch, and intermediate stations as an experiment this year. Tho stationmaster at Oamaru wrote, in reply to a request by the Association that a special train for show stock be run on tile. Kurow branch on the morning of the second da.y of the Show, that before anything could be doue it would bo necessary to inform the De; partment of the number of trucks of show stock that would be sent if the special'train were run, and at what stations the stock would he loaded. A long time was spent in discussing in Committee the proposal to hold a smoke concert on one of the show nights. The decision come to was that a smoke concert be held on the second (Friday) night of the Show, and all members desirous of contributing towards the cost are to-he asked to hand in their subscriptions to the secretary. On the motion of Mr Little it was decided to appoint a second night watchman to act on the night before and the first night of the Show. It was resolved -.to-replace the hurdle used in the past for tho high jump with a. wooden block jump, which will be much more safe.
