FUGITIVES FROM JUSTICE.

THE PACIFIC SLOPE. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, May 8. It has not yet been decided what steps are to follow the arrest of the two suspects of the Kolin burglary in San Francisco. Mr T. Diddams, manager of the estate of A. Kohn, stated to-day that in the event of the estate having to provide the money required for the return of the arrested persons there is every likelihood of the action being gone on with in order to recover the jewellery. Nothing will be done, however, until further information is obtained so as to ensure no mistake being made in regard to the right persons being ill custody. ' . In regard to the arrest itself information is scarce, but Mr Diddams is of opinion that the arrest must have been made as the result of a customs examination in America. The goods stolen were of such bulk that they could not have been concealed about the person.
