The Farmers' and Settlers' Association Conference decided to organise politically and form a new Country ,Party. Mr Wade, in addressing the conference, warned it of the dangers in treating with a third party. The Government recognised the necessity of maintaining the policy of development at high pressure. They would hear in a few days of a loan for the duplication of the main trunk lines.
