In reply to a question pat to him at Manaia to-day as to what was the latest Samoan news, the Premier said that the Government on hearing of the recent disaster had cabled the Admiral through the Deputy-Governor that the Pntanekai was at the immediate disposal of the Admiralty to relieve the Mildura at Raratonga to enable her to go to Samoa. The Tutanekai will take the Governor on board, and then proceed herself to Samoa for the latest news. Replying, the admiral thanked the Government for the offer, which would be remembered, bat as H.M.S. Torch had jast left Sydney for Samoa, the Tutanekai woald not bo required at present.
