DUNEDIN MARKETS. [The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report aa follows for the week ending November 2nd Eat Cattle.—Owing no doubt to the extreme prices ruling last week, the market was well supplied to-day with 215 head, the bulk of which were good to prime bullocks. Under spirited competition the whole were Bold under the hammer at prices equal to 25a per 1001b for prime ox beef; medium and cow beef, 19s to 223 6d; best bullocks brought LlO to Lll 15s ; good do, L 8 to L 9 10s ; medium, L 6 to L 7 15s ; best cows and heifers, L 7 to L 9 ; medium, L 5 to L 6. Fat Sheep.—The market was well supplied with 2554 sheep, most of which were fair to prime crossbred wethers, with a few pens of prime ewea. The butchers were all bare, and thinking that owing to next sale being held on Tueaday there would not be many sheep in, bought freely, the consequence being that last week's prices were maintained ; indeed, towards the close of the sale there was a slight advance. Best crossbred wethers brought 15s to 163 6d (one small pen extra large, 17s); medium, 13s to 14s 6d ; best do ewes, 13s to 14s 9d ; medium lis to 128.

Fat Lambs.—3ss were penned. Prices ranged from 7s 6d to 12s 6d. Wheat.—There is little demand for wheat, but most of the inquiry is for Oamaru velvet or Tuscan. Prices are as follows:—Best northern velvet, 4s to 4s Oid; northern Tuscan, 3s lOd to 4s ; southern velvet, 3s 7d to 3s lOd; southern Tuscan and other sorts, 3s 6d to 3s 9d (ex store, sacks in, terms). Oats.—Some holders are anxious to sell, and as there is very little inquiry the market has come down. Prime feed is selling at Is lid to Is lljd ; medium, Is lOd to Is lid ; extra, Is 6d to Is 9d ; Sutherlands, 2s to 2s lid (ex store, sacks extra). Barley.—There is hardly any business doing in this line, and the following prices are only nominal: Prime milling, 4s 3d to 4s 9d ; medium, do, 3s Gd to 4s ; feed and milling, 2s to 3s (ex store, sacks extra).
