BICYCLE RACES.
(BT teleorafii.) Chbistchobch, December 27. The weather was fiue to-day, and 3000 people attended the bicycle races at Lancaster Park. In tbe final heat of the one mile champion test race the result was as follows: Wood ... ._ 1 Wiimot (North Canterbury) .. 2 Baodyiides (Waitemata) ... 3 Steadmin (Uunedin) ... ... 4 Wood shot to the front 300 yards from home, and came in the easiest of winners. Time—3tnin. 3 Siec. Tbe result of the ten miles champion race was as follows : Wood 1 Wjlmot 2 Brown _ ... 3 H»nd> aides 4 B«low (North Canterbury) ... 5 Ktrr (Dancdio) 6 Wood won after a splendid race by three yards. Time—33min. 15 2 Siec. ! The teat races resulted in Wood being I placed first and WilmSt second.
