Cbt telegraph. Chbistchdech, December 26. The first meeting of the newly formed Canterbury R.fla Association was commenced to-day with about 1 68 entries. The Scottish Rifles wen the field firing match, the Kiiapoi R'fles being second. In the second match, seven shots at 200 and 300 yards, the cHef scorers were— Sergeant Templeton, Oakden, Peninsula Nivals, 47 ; QuarterMaster Sergeant Dougall, Chriatchnrch Artillery, 47 ,* S»rgeant Frederic, North Danedin Rifles, 47. December 27. At the meeting of tbe Canterbury R fla Association to-day, the first pr<Z3 in tbe ■ bird match —seven shots at 200. 300, and 500 yards—was won by Sergeant Sandford, Übrisicbarch R fles, with a score of 74. He also won the fourth match on similar termt> with 72, and the ageregate prize, for which his score was 185. Ia the match of ten shots at 500 yards ho made 33, bringing his grand total up to 218.
