THE HAWKE'S BAY ASSOCIATION.

On a Good Footing. With one or two exceptions, Boxing Associations m the Dominion cannot boast of successful seasons. j One of the exceptions, however, is i the Hawke's Bay Association, the j annual report and balance-sheet of j which is to hand. The report sets • forth a .very satisfactory state of af- | fairs, and, to quote the report, "it ' is safe to say that our' position is ; much brighter than many" other ] large Associations. A profit was j shown on all tHe tourneys, and the 1913 season is being faced wdth a good bank balance. I There- is no doubt-that-a-determin-ed effort w^as mtttld--to <t infuse" w ttewlife into the game at Hastings, and, from President A. L. D. Fraser down to Secretary Kosfittberg. all worked hard and well. All the tourneys were well managed, and. generally, there was no room left for complaint. The Association can look forward to- the i9i3 season with .every confidence.
