MANAWATU BOXING ASSOCIATION.
A1 Amateur Bouts; Arranged. The Manawatu Boxing Assod&lon is well ahead with the arrangements for the amateur .tourney which Is to be boxed off at Palmerston North Opera House next Wednesday evening, and, as it happens to be race night,, there should be a great gathering of the clans. The amateur talent which Is to be staged is certainly the best that could be possibly' gathered together. Those clinking feather-weights, Freddy Kerr, and "Scotty" Jervois, have another crack at jeach other, while Treweek and Wurmm should be counted on' putting up a good battle. Glllesple; of Tiniaru, meets Flynh, of Wellington, and m addition a number of novice bouts are- promised. It looks a good healtHy programme, and the "fans should count on a good 'night's sport. ■.; " ' '■• ■; '. ;'.,'■ ■■■ ' : •" ■
