600 ON TWO SHIPS AVELLINGTON’S TOTAL. A total of 591 assisted .immigrants arrived at AVellington by the liners Corinthic and Remuera. The Corinthio brought 332, their destinations being as follow:—Auckland, 29 men, 30 women, 20 children, total 79; Napier, 3, 11, 6—20; New Plymouth, 2,3, 3—B; AVanganui, 0,1, 0—1; AVellington, 39, 45, 20—104; Greymouth, 3,2, 4 —9: Westport, 3. 3, 5—11; Lyttelton. 14. 23, 8—45; Timaru, 1,1, 4—6; Port Chalmers, 6, 15, 8—29; Bluff, 4,8, B—2o. The totals are: Men, 104; women, 142; children, 86; aggregate, 332. Included in the above are eight public school hoys. 12 girls for Flock House, and 39 domestics.
In the Remuera came 259 immigrants, who are hooked as under: Auckland, 37. 25. 27—89; Gisborne, 1,0, 5—6; Napier, 5,3, 0—8; New Plymouth, 5,1, 2—B: Wanganui, 2, 2, 6—9; Wellington, 41, 19, 15—76; Picton, 1,2, 3—6; Greymouth, 4. 2. 2—B; Westport, 5,5, 4 —14; Lyttelton, 5,4, o—9; Oamarn. 1,1, 2—4; Dunedin, 10, 5, 3—18; Bluff, 1. 3, I —s. Totals are: Men. 118: women, 72; children, 69; aggregate, 269.
