DECREASE IN TOTALS WEEKLY BULLETIN. The following is the bulletin of infectious diseases for the week ending January 10th, 1927. The previous week’s figures are given . in parentheses. There is a decided falling-off in the figures, although there are a great many more cases of diphtheria in the T arq nuki-Horowhenua district. Nelson and Marlborough show a “clean sheet.” Taranaki-Horovvhenua, 15—Scarlet fcver, 3 (6); diphtheria, 12 (5); erysipelas, 0 (1); pneumonia, 0 (1); puerperal fever, 0 (1); septic abortion, 0 (1). Wairftrapa-Easfc Cape, 6 (15) —Scarlet fever, 2 (3); diphtheria, 1 (3); tuberculosis, 1 (4); pneumonia, 1 (2); puerperal fever, 1 (1); erysipelas, 0 (1); enteric fever, 0 (1). Central AVellington, 6 (4) —Scarlet fever, 2 (2); puerperal fever, 3 (1); ophthalmia neon., 1 (0); diphtheria, 0 (1).
Nelson-Mnrlborougli. 0 (3) —Diphtheria, 0 (1); scarlet fever, 0 (1); tuberculosis, 0 Cl). Total, 27 (37).
