CONFESSION TO 11 MURDERS
Consenting to become the eighth wife of a wealthy farmer named Volidescu at Aizina, a little Roumanian township, a girl fled to her parents after the first week of married life, declaring that the husband was a cruel monster. Her father went with her to visit the man to arrange about a divorce, but the farmer sprang at her and stabbed her to the heart with n dagger. Volidescu has been arrested, after hiding in the woods for two days. He confesses that he murdered all his seven previous wives by prolonged tortures, as well as four other girTs whom he engaged as servants.
