THREAT TO SHOOT

On charges of being in possession of n revolver in a colliery yard and not having a license for the revolver, Richard Ford, 26, appeared at Durham Police Court. Tt was stated that he went to Shcrburn House Colliery, where safety men were employed, and, producing the revolver, threatened to shoot any blacklegs working there. He was drunk. The bench concluded that he was not entirely responsible for his actions and hound biin over. TTe was fined £2 for not having a license. Henrv Sutton was fined £5 at Leigh, Lancashire, for intimidating a Tyldesley miner returning from his work.
