WORK RESUMED
LYTTELTON DISPUTE ENDED WATERSIDERS RESPOND TO CALL Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 29. Work was resumed at Lyttelton this morning, and over seven hundred men were engaged. At first only three gangs could be obtained for the Coolana, but later, after persuasion by union officials, the full number began working. After this calls were mndo and responded to for other sh : ps. The settlement is the result of the conference held yesterday, hut details are not available. It is stated, however, that the men return to work under conditions similar to those existing previously, but that a further conference will be held in Wellington next week.
