APPEAL TO PRIME MINISTER INQUIRIES BEING MADE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 29. Replying to a telegram from Auckland Labour members of Parliament to the Prime Minister regarding unemployment in Auckland, Mr Coates telegraphs : “Your representations will have every consideration. Very careful inquiries are being made by the Minister for Labour as to the number of unemployed in the different centres. Inquiries are also being made as to what works . are likely to be taken in hand on which unemployed could be placed.”
