WEDDING AT ST. PETER’S

The wedding was solemnised reoently at S,t. Peter’s Church, Willis street, by the Rev. H. Watson, of Irene Frances, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs S. O’Brien, Miramar, to John, only Fon of Mr and Mrs yV. Telford, also of Miramar. The bride wore a very charming gown of satin, draped with lace, with touches of embroidery and pearl trimming. A handsome tulle veil arranged with coronet of orange blossom was worn, and a bouquet of roses, etephanotis, and maidenhair fern completed her toilet. The bridesmaids were Misses Evelyn Parker and Addie O’Brien, who wore frocks of torquoise georgette and silver lace, with caps of georgette and silver to match. They carried bouquets to tone. TVo tiny bridesmaids, Dulcy Pointon and Joyce Walker, were dressed alike in torquoise crepe de chine wiih touches of pink and silver, and carried Victorian posies. The best man and groomsman were Mr J. C. MoWilliam and Mr J. Butterworth respectively. The reception was-held at the Oddfellows’ Hall; Clyde quay, where the guests were received by Mrs O’Brien, who was wearing a frock of navy repp cloth with touches of,silver end a hat to match. Mrs W. Telford, mother of the bridegroom, wore •an ensemble suit of navy marooain, with navy hat. After the reception Mr and Mrs Telford, jun., left for Nelson and the” Sounds, the latter wearing r*, black silk ottoman coat over a frock of navy marocain trimmed with buff and a small hat of blue felt.
