WAIROA FIRES
INCENDIARISM ALLEGED BRIGADE TO BE FORMED. Per Press Association. WAIROA, March 24. A largely-attended public meeting last night decided to form a fire brigade. The recently-formed Fire Board also resolved to acquire a suitable site for the erection of a fire station and to purchase fire-fighting appliances. Captain Hu"o (Wellington) addressed the meeting, and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. It was further decided to ask for a magisterial inquiry into the circumstances of *the Iw?t two fires, ns the opinion was freely expressed that an incendiary •'ms to blainc.
