MOTORISTS BEWARE
NOTICES TO BE ERECTED UV NGAHAURANGA GORGE
“The workmen on the Ngahauranga Gorge road have complained to me that their lives are in danger every time a motor-car dashes round a dor-, ner, and they have asked me to see if the council can do anything to lessen the danger.” This statement was made by Mr W. L. Beech, clerk of the Makara County Council, at the council’s meeting yesterday. Councillor Bell stated that on the Rimutakaa, when the road was being repaired, notices were erected warning motorists. . It was decided to erect similar “Go Slow” notices in the Ngnhaunuiga Gorge.
