CHANGEABLE FROCKS
I know many women, who go out a great-deal, who regularly transform an afternoon frock into an evening frock add back again, says an writer. They'' choose a good georgette —the best they can afford —and nave it made with long sleeves, either tight at the wrist or flaring, and they hate two foundations, a black Jap silk and a fine black crepe or georgette. For afternoon or informal evening wear it is worn over the black Jap silk foundation, which is cut high in the neck, but for special evening wear the 'sleeves are slfpped out and the frock worn over the georgette slip, which is cut low, and has shoulder straps instead of small sleeves.' You’ve no idea what a difference this makes, or how many women regularly take the sleeves of a dress out and put them in again. .By the aid, as well, of aflower, a diamante girdle, or paste hrooch, one’s day frock is quite transformed. Coolured georgette frocks frocks enn be treated in the same way, but black ones are'less likely to he recognised. I find that a slip of good Jap silk is more satisfactory under, georgette than crepe de chine, for a stiff foundation keeps it from creasing.
