VICE REGAL VISIT

TO PALMERSTON NORTH FLOCK HOU&E AND TE AUTE COLLEGE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 10. The Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergusson have arranged to pay an official visit to Palmerston North on Monday and Tuesday, March 29th and 30th, in the course of which they will be accorded a civic welcome, and will visit representative institutions in the borough. His Excellency will also take the opportunity of formally opening the new girls’ hostel in Palmerston, which will shortly be occupied by the first party of girls coming out from England under the Flock House scheme.

Their Excellencies will leave Auckland on the night of the 25th instant, and before going to Palmerston will pay a visit to Feilding on the Friday, proceeding to Pukehou the following day for the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new building of Te Aute College, which will take place on March 27th.

After leaving Palmerston North Their Excellencies' will visit Flock House homestead and station neai Bulls on the morning of the 31st, returning later to Marton, -vhere they will spend the afternoon, returning to Auckland by train in the evening.
