MINISTERIAL The Hon. O. Hawken, who is in Utham, will return to-morrow evening. The Hon. Sir James Parr is expect, ed back .in Wellington to-morrow morning. The Hon. A. D. McLeod has returned to Wellington from the South Island. The friends of Dr A. W. Hogg, of Seatoun, will be pleased to learn that he is making a splendid recovery from his illness and expects to resume practice shortly. Mr W. Appleton, director of the Charles Haines Advertising Agency, returned from Sydney by the Ulimaroa. Mr H. Yue Jackson, of the Wellington Consulate, returned from China via Sydney. Mr G. C. Godfrey, Secretary of Marine, returned to Wellington from the 6auth yesterday. Dio Mayor (Mr C. J. B. Norwood) is expected back in Wellington from Dunedin to-day. Mr J. S. Dickson, M.P. for Parnell, who has been on a visit to Wellington, has returned to Auckland. Mr R. W. Dalton, H.M. Senior Trade Commissioner, will be the guest of the numbers of the New Zealand Association of British Manufacturers and Agents at afternoon tea at the Midland Hotel on Tuesday next. Mr Benjamin Perry, of the Occidental Hotel, is dead, at the age of 81, states a Press Association message from Christchurch. He had been a hotel lioepsee for 55 years, in Oamaru, Dunedin, and Christchurch, without a break. Messrs G. Walter Dowling (G. W. Dowling and Oo.), Alfred Lulham (Royal Oak Hotel), W. Lancelot Moore (Boving and Co., Ltd.), E. Rabbidge «'E. Rabbidge, Ltd.), have been elected members of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. Mr Ronald C. Abraham, manager of the grain and produce department of the firm of Barraud and Abraham, Ltd., Palmerston North, has been appointed judge of tbe seeds, grain, and S roduce sections at tbe forthcoming [awke’s Bay A. and P. Association’s Show. He is a son of Mr L. A. Abraham, who far many years judged the same sections at Hawke’s Bay shows. Captain L. M. Isitt, who has been in command of the Wigram aerodrome for the past few years, will leave shortly on a visit to England, where he will undergo a course of seaplane flying. He will be away far about twelve months, and on his return will take charge of the Auckland aerodrome where seaplanes as well as aeroplanes will be housed. With the departure of Captain Isitt the Wigram aerodrome will be in charge of Captain J. L. Findlay, son of Sir J. G. Finlay, K.C., Wellington (sates the “Lyttelton Times”). Captain Findlay has gained the reputation of being a firstclass pilot, and he did excellent service during the war as a member of the Royal Air Force.
