A LENGTHY LIST NUMEROUS DEFENDANTS FINED THE MOTOR REGULATIONS By-law breaches were dealt with before Mr C. R. Orr-Walker; S.M., m the Magistrate's Coui*t, on Tuesday afternoon, as follow: — William Ferguson, for failing to obtain a motor-driver’s license, was fined £2. ' . . For employing an unlicensed driver, the Todd Motor Company, Ltd., were ordered to pay 7s costs. Speeding across an intersection cost Isabel Turnbull £1 10s and Oswald Bush £l. ... George Crichton, for driving in a manner dangerous to the public, was fined £3. For failing to j?ay heavy traffic license fees, Arthur Kilmister wfas fined £3O; Arthur Frank Toswill and Frederick . Millman £lO each; and George Smith £2. Failure to observe the regulations in- regard to the proper lighting of their vehicles cost the following the amounts stated: —Simon Beveridge Henderson, Carnegie Ernest Houston, 15s each; A.B.C. Motors, Ltd., Reginald Scott, Alfred Fountain, Francis Joseph O’Neill, John Merlin Carroll, 10s each; George Hugh Peters, Eric Carrol Satchell, Arthur Edward Cowan, 5s each; Melville Russell Gifford Moore, costs ljis. For using a hose without a meter, Charles Stephen Symonds and John Scott were fined £1 each; Horace Williamson and Joseph Murphy; 10s each; and George Carpenter, costs 7s. Cutting a corner cost Caleb Richardson £1 105. Jack Hebb, for having a wrong num-ber-plate on his motor-car, was fined 10s. James Hooper, for driving a motorvehicle without a. number-plate attached, was 1 fined ids. William Herlihy, similarly charged, was ordered to pay costs, 7s. Failure to stop his motor-cycle when requester-cost John Cyril Shannon £1 . Permitting stock to wander cost Bert Wilson and Frank Mcßride 15s each, Samuel Sharp 10s, and Eric Lambert ss. DEFENCE CASES.
