WHILE THE SHIP WAITED
FIREMEN ARGUED AND SANG MANUKA AGAIN DECAYED. By Telesrrapn.— Press Assn. —Copyright MELBOURNE, December 26. The delay of the Manuka was the eighth out of 11 sailings, and was again due .to job control, the vessel being delayed while the firemen argued, sang, and fought' on the decks. It was a most glaring and unpardonable case of job control, and represented a serious loss to the company. Six firemen were missing at 4 o’clock, but four of them returned intoxicated. At 5 o’clock they decided to leave again, accompanied by other firemen, but all returned to the ship by 7 o’clock with the exception of one, who’ was replaced by another man, and the vessel sailed. ‘
