ALL BLACKS CHALLENGED
LEAGUE TEAM’S OFFER RULES PREVENT ACCEPTANCE. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, September 21. The manager of the Queensland League team this morning denied the claim that the All Elacks are the finest Rugby team in the world, and issued a challenge to play them in Auckland on October 10th, with thirteen men aside, one spell under League rules ana one spell under Union rules, the proceeds to go to charity. Under the laws governing the game of Rugby the playing of such a match would render the All Blacks liable to disqualification for competing with a team of players deemed to he professionals.
