TESTING A REVOLVER
MAN CHARGED WITH BURGLARY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, September 21. When William Alexander Findlay, bricklayer, was remanded this morning on a charge of burglary, the police stated that shortly before his arrest Findlay had fired three shots from a revolver in the park. Later he said he had been firing at a woman, but the police believea that he was testing the revolver on trees. Counsel said that Findlay had been drinking.
