LOANS FOR MARLBOROUGH
TWO CARRIED, ONE DEFEATED. Per Press Association BLENHEIM, September 21. Of three Marlborough County Council loan proposals, two were carried, one for £IO,OOO for the purchase of road-making machinery, and one for £SOOO for the erection of a series of bridges. The third proposition, for £3OOO, to lay down certain sections of road in bitumen, was defeated.
