ADELPHI CABARET
The Adelphi Cabaret, Goring street, presented a very bright spectacle on Saturday evening when a large number of dancers attended. Some pretty frocks were worn, which added to the brilliancy of the ballroom. An announcement was made bv Mr Rodney Pankhurst to the effect that the cabaret would be held at Goring street for a further two weeks only, after which he was removing to some very fine premises in Culba street, which are to’be completely remodelled, the decor ative scheme being one which has not up to the present been used for any dance hall in New Zealand. The opening night, for which some elaborate preparations are being made, is to take place on Saturday, August Bth. Among these present on Saturday last were Mr and Mrs Corrigan, the Misses Tringham, Blundell, Kirkcaldie, Brunton. Markman, Clayton, Russell, Lopdell (Hawke’s Bav), Cracroft. Bennett. Statham. Andrews, and Riddell, Messrs Price, Hudson. Hunt, Garland, Rawson, Murie, Shorter, Shanly, Rogers. Blundell, Heywood, McOurdie, and Lockie.
