CRASHED OVER BRIDGE
CAR SKIDS TO DISASTER. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June IS. . A motor-car driven by Mr Tom Paiu, of Cheviot, skidded on the approach to the Weka bridge, at .Waipara, on Wednesday night, and crashed through the rails. The oar was saved from falling into the river through one wheel catching in the edge of the bridge. There were five ocoupants of the car, including two women. All were able to scramble back to the bridge, and escaped with a shaking.
