A LONG TOW

TEfRAWHITI, YUTH CORINNA FROM NEW PLYMOUTH. The long tow by the tug Terawhiti of the steamer Corinna from New Plymouth to Wellington, where the repairs are to be effected to her tailshaft, which was broken while steaming from Nelson to New Plymouth on March 10th, was completed last evening on arrival in Wellington. Th J tug Tera.vhiti drew the Corinna away from her berth from Moturoa wharf at noon on Friday and ran into fairly heavy weather for the first 12 hours out. but after that the weather moderated and the average speed maintained was about five knots. The tow *ine was about 1000 feet long, being made up of a 3sir» steel hawser attached to the tug._ this hawser being shackled to a loin mnnila hawser which was shrcklcd again in turn to lo fathoms of cable connecting with tho Corinna
