Results : Ladies’ Diving Championship. Miss J,. Hood (Hawke’s Bay), 1; Miss M. Foote (Otago), 2; Miss K, Bristed (Canterbury), 9. 150 Yards Backstroke Championship.— L, Fairgray (Auckland), 1; L. J. Moorhouse (Canterbury), 2; N. C. Stockley (Auckland), 3. Won by a yard. Fairgray’s time, lmin 55 4-ssec, is a new Dominion record. Men’s Diving Championship (final stag©).—W. Keesing (Canterbury), 1; H. Walker (Otago), 2; W, Hicks (Wellington), 3. Ten competitors. WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIP. The final of the water polo championship was fought out between Canterbury and Auckland. The game was a most exciting one, and at half-time the score was one all. The game ended in favour of Canterbury by four goals to two. 220 Yards Ladies’ Breaststroke Championship.—Miss G. Pigeon (Auckland), 1; Miss P. Svenson (Wanganui), 2; Miss E. Hannan (Canterbury), -3. At the end of/ a lap Miss Pigeon led by two feet; at the 200 yard mark Miss Pigeon led by the same* distance, and she went on to win from Miss Svenson by two yards. Miss Hannan was close up third, with Miss Scott a touch fourth. Time, 3min 48sec. All the competitors finished, inside the previous record. 440 YARDS CHAMPIONSHIP. ,D. Pelham (Auckland) 1 J. Pelham, at the end of the fourth lap, was leading by six yards, with Enwriglit in second place and Batchelor and Cunnold equal third. When the 200 mark was reached the positions were much about the same. At the end of the eighth lap Pelham was leading .Enwright, who was also swimming well,\by fifteen yards, with Cunnold in third place and Batchelor and Lindsay fighting for fourth place. Except that Pelham continued to increase his big lead, the placings were about the same until the ninth lap, when Lindsay worked himself into fourth pla«, with Batchelor last. When the. eleventh lap was ended Enwright had cut Pelham’s lead down to ten yards. was not far away in third place, a*nd Batphelor and Lindsay were once again equal. Lewis took the lead after a length had been covered, and maintained bis position until the end. McKenzie swam into third place but was disqualified because he failed to swim the correct breaststroke, and Trist was declared third. Time, 3min 13 3—s^ee The points for the Yaldhnret Shield were:—Auckland 74, Canterbury 26, Otago 7, Wanganui 7. Hawke’s Bay 5, South Canterbury 1, Wellington 1.
