“MOTHER OF WIRELESS”
FRIENDS OF MANY. ENJOYABLE CONCERTS BROADCASTED. Who does not know the “mother of wireless (as she is affectionately called by radio fans), Mrs Dore ? Her name is and ever musl be associated with the great progress that wireless broadcasting has made in New Zealand, and the excellent concerts which she has arranged have been a source of pleasure and interest. Mrs Dore may well be termed “the true friend of listen-ers-in.” and her aim is to work for the uplifting of broadcasting. Wireless enthusiasts will agree that Mrs Dore is working along excellent lines, and for her services, all of which, by the way, are gratuitous, she has earned the thanks of all whose pleasure and privilege, it is to listen in to the concerts she arranges on Sunday nights. TO-MORROW’S CONCERT.
For to-morrow night's concert Mr Parker has organised a programme for transmission by the Wellington station, the following having promised to contribute: —Miss Kathleen Jansen (mezzo-soprano)' Miss Nellie Amies (contralto), Mr Arthur Oakev (baritone),' 5 Miss Phyllis Hanifey (pianiste), Mr Jack Parker (cornet soloist;, and other*.
