ARTIST’S BEQUESTS
SCHOLARSHIPS AND PICTURES. Ter Press Association. DUNEDIN, October 13. Under the will of the late Miss Grace Jane Joel, a former resident of Dunedin, who won distinction as an artist in England, £SOO has been bequeathed to the National Gallery, Melbourne, for the founding of a scholarship.' The Otago Art Society receives an etching by Joseph Israels, the Wellington Art Gallery a coloured drawing by North, and the Christchurch Art Gallery an etching entitled “Time of Prayer.”
