FIRE AT CHRISTCHURCH
FAMILY have narrow escape. , Per Press Association. • CHRISTCHTJROH, September 11. When a fire broke out early this morning in a two-storied house in Ferry road, the owner. A. E. Stevens, his wife, and two children had a narrow csoapo. Stevens was forced to jump from a window on to the roof of the verandah with one of the children in his arras. They were awakened by smoko, and had no time to dress.
