MEMORIAL LIBRARY
OPENING CEREMONY GOVERNOR-GENERAL ON HIS DEPARTURE. Per Press Association. TTMARiU, March 20. Lord Jellicoe opened the memorial library at Timaru Boys’ High School to-day, in the presence of a very large and representative gathering. Incidentally His Excellency made reference to his impending departure from New Zealand. His stay on these hospitable shores, ho said, had been one of unalloyed happiness, and on leaving, both Lady Jellicoe and he would be filled with unfeigned regret. The memorial library is a very handsome structure, and cost £3OOO. The roll of honour in it contains names of 52 old boys of the school. To-night Lord Jellicoe attended, as Grand Master, a special meeting of the South Canterbury Masonic Lodge.
