“YOUNG BLOODS’” NIGHT
ON NEW YEAR’S EVE FOOLISH EXHIBITION. “On New Year’s Eve and subsequently much wanton damage was done to the street lamps,” reported the general manager to the Eiastbourne Borough Council last night. “Glasses smashed, doors torn off, robber pipe connections punctured, etc.” The police have been notified, and are on the watch for the offenders. The clerk: It was the usual ebulition of New Year’s Eve foolishness. Councillor Dawson: The local constable reported that everything passed off well, and presented a clean sheet The young bloods will have their sway. The chairman: It is regrettable, but it is one of those things which will •happen.
