“MUTUAL SEPARATION"
SUPREME COURT CASE. JUDGE’S COMMENT. In the case of Eileen May Clifford (Mr W. E. Leicester) v. Frank Ernest Clifford, in which a dissolution of marriage was sought on the ground of mutual separation, further evidence was called in the Supreme Court, before Mr Justice Salmond yesterday. Evidence as to the date of the separation was given bv petitioner, and her father. His Honour said that petitioner had not proved that separation was for a period of three yeare. All the witnesses were too hazy on the point. He was prepared to grant a decree nisi if. proper proof, which should be easily obtainable, were forthcoming, and he - was long suffering enough to give counsel a third opportunity of proving his case. The matter: would'be adjourned - until the next aitting of the court.
