Tho body pf James Alexander Campbell, a retired master mariner, who bad been missing since October 18th, was found in a workshop under his house in Takutai street, Parnell. Beside it was a gas tube, which had been let down from the gas jet in his bedroom beside a wardrobe, and through a hole bored in tsi?> floor in such a manner to eeci, until careful search was m.fuv. On occasions searchers stood within a few feet of Tim body without noticing jt. Deceased resided with his sister, his only relative in New Zealand.
