“IN A GOOD POSITION"
HOSPITAL FINANCES. WHAT FIGURES SHOW. “We are in a good position, though not quite as good as at this time in the last financial year,” said Mr F. Castle, chairman of the Wellington Hospital Board yesterday, when referring to the fact that the actual expenditure for the past six months was only £372 more than had been estimated. The estimated expenditure had beon £50,720, as against an actual expenditure of £52,794, an excess of £2074. This was less an estimated amount of £12,325 receipts, which had panned out at £14,027, a surplus of £1702. The half-yearly figures wero usually not much to express -.-in opinion upon, but they were at least a guide.
