HOLIDAY IN DUNEDIN SHORTS AND CARNIVAL. Pei Press Association. DUNEDIN, October 22. Fine weather prevailed here for the Labour Day week-end, and the holiday was taken advantage of by .very kvrge numbers. The Labour Day picnic drew a crowd, exceeding 2COO for a day's outing to Outran), and the athletic spoits. on the Caledonian grounds, organised by the Sports Wonderland Carnival committee were also very largely patronised. In the evening tho carnival in His Majesty's Theatre also proved a very popular place of resort. Numbers enjoyed the day on the beaches and in tho public gardens near at hand, or at the numerous holiday resorts further from the city.
