ENGLISH TEACHERS
OPINION FROM CANTERBURY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. October 19. In reply to an inquiry from the partment regarding the number of English teachers to be placed in Canterbury. the Education Board has decided that while sympathising with the proposal to find work for English teachers, yet in view of the large number of ex-Training College students, of whom 160 would bo available at Now Year, the board could not enter into any definite arrangement to find employment for any stipulated number of teachers from Great Britain.
