ADJOURNMENT GRANTED
N.Z. FEDERATION—COURT OF ARBITRATION. Owing to the illness of one of the counsel engaged, the case_ before the Full Court between the Now Zealand Workers’ Federation and the Judge and members of the Arbitration Court, was adjourned yesterday until Tuesday morning. The action is for a writ of certiorari to restrain the Arbitration Court from enforcing certain provisions of an award regulating waterside labour conditions, and is to really test the powers of the court, as the plaintiffs contend that it has exceeded its jurisdiction The matter is of considerable importance in industrial circles, and thif is only the second occasion on which a similar application has been made. The Court of Appeal, on the former occasion, uphold the jurisdiction of the Court of Arbitration.
