SIMPLE AND RELIABLE. | A simple instrument for gauging the ! depth of petrol in the tank is known as the “Ne’er Fail,” and consists of a cellu* lcid tube with a nickel plated) mount at the top and bottom. The top mount contains a small valve operated by t. projecting knob, while the bottom mounf has a notch cut in it so that it cannoi be sealed by resting on the bottom ol the tank. When the gauge is inserted into the petrol or oil it is only necessarj to depress the knob of the valve, whet the liquid will enter the gauge to itba level ox the liquid in the tank. Thi knob is then released, and when the gauge is withdrawn the depth of liquid is shown. The gauge also offer's a £on■\cnient method of admitting petrol into the cylinders through the compression taps, or for filling a email oil can from an oil tin.
