The Treasurer, Sir Arthur Cocks, stated that thd total revenue derived from the motor tai for the financial year 1922-23 was *£165,936 14s 4d. The fees from the Motor Traffic Act had amounted to J 272,489 11s 6d, and those under the Metropolitan Traffio Act to <£5659 Bs. The cost involved in cob ! Iccting this revenue probably amounted i to about <£20,000 per annum.
